On 15 August 2006, Scott Kessler skilfully teetered and tottered his way into the record books by achieving a score of 177,570 points on the NES version of Marble Madness (Rare, 1989) in Monroe, North Carolina, USA. As of July 2011, he sits in top place on the Twin Galaxies scoreboard, but his position is precarious – he is just 300 points ahead of his closest competitor, a fellow American named Travis Reisch.
