The oldest person to row across any ocean solo is 72 years 192 days and was achieved by Graham Walters (UK, b. 17 July 1947), who completed a solo row across the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to Antigua, on 29 April 2020.
The age given is Graham's age on the date he began his journey. He has previously rowed the Atlantic four times (1997, 2001, 2003/04, 2007). For his fifth crossing, he rowed from La Gomera in Gran Canaria to English Harbour in Antigua. His 95-day crossing was made on board Geary – a boat that the retired carpenter built himself at home and named in honour of his grandfather.
