The largest Mexican folk dance consists of 941 participants, and was achieved by Grupo Artesanal Turístico Cultural y Agroindustrial Lindo Michoacán SC de RL de CV (Mexico) at Plaza de Armas, in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, on 26 June 2022.


Participants danced during 10 minutes the song called Juan Colorado written by Felipe Arriaga, which was performed live by the Royal Band of Ichán.

People of all ages came from 16 different municipalities to participate on the record attempt. The traditional song they danced is originally from the Apatzingán region of Michoacán.
