Taylor Swift's (USA) "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" climbed to No.1 on iTunes' singles sales chart just 50 minutes after it was released on 14 August 2012. The lead single from Swift's fourth studio album, Red, landed at the top of the chart approximately two hours faster than Lady Gaga's (USA, b. Stefani Germanotta) "Born this Way", which was iTunes' best-seller less than three hours after going on sale on 11 February 2011 on its way to one million sales in its first five days.
