Largest blowdryer / hairdryer

The largest hairdryer is 1.755 m long and 1.6 m tall (5 ft 9 in x 5 ft 3 in), and was assembled by Ruth Amos (UK) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK, as verified on 22 April 2026.

Ruth is one of the engineering geniuses behind YouTube's "Kids Invent Stuff" and is known for bringing her followers' ideas to life.

In 2025, "Kids Invent Stuff" hosted a competition (supported by Accu and the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851) to find their next record-breaking invention. They received over 5,000 entries and eventually decided on the world's largest hairdryer, as suggested by Thea and Kiki.

The hairdryer weighs roughly 80 kg (176 lb).

Ruth always breaks records on a grand scale. She has previously made the largest electric toothbrush (2 m; 6 ft 7 in) and the tallest 3D-printed plastic-brick Christmas tree (1.81 m; 5 ft 11 in).
