Son Goku's voice is owed to Japanese actress Masako Nozawa, who has been voicing the anime superstar (among others) in the Dragon Ball game series for 25 years 333 days between the releases of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden on 20 March 1993 and Jump Force on 15 February 2019. In addition to her starring roles in Dragon Ball, Masako has performed in such major games as the Kingdom Hearts series and Final Fantasy Type-0. Masako has also been performing in the Dragon Ball TV series since 1986.

Masako Nozawa's record narrowly beats both US game developer Ed Boon (Mortal Kombat) and US actor Charles Martinet (Super Mario), both of whom have been performing in videogames for more than 24 years.
