Most lines of commentary in an NFL videogame

Madden NFL 11 has a staggering 90,000 lines of commentary in total. It includes play-by-play by Gus Johnson (USA), colour commentary by Cris Collinsworth (USA) and voiceovers throughout the game by players, broadcasters and various actors. Ronnie Morales (USA), EA’s speech designer for Madden NFL 11 lines have been increased for this year’s release in a bid to make the commentary and overall audio presentation sound more authentic than ever. The ­first game had just 500 lines of dialogue. John Madden (USA) is said to have recorded an estimated 30,000 lines of in-game commentary until his retirement in 2009.
