The most consecutive matches played without missing an inning in Major League Baseball (USA) is 903 by Cal Ripken Jr. (USA) with the Baltimore Orioles from 5 June 1982 to 14 September 1987. Ripken would continue with his games played streak (albeit not playing every inning) until reaching 2,632 games played. The record for all of professional baseball for consecutive games played without missing an inning is 1,492 by Tomoaki Kanemoto (Japan) of Nippon Professional Baseball.
