Paris Saint-Germain equalled Barcelona’s record of 45 goals in a single UCL season in the final of the 2025/26 season, which the French side won on penalties after a 1–1 draw with Arsenal. PSG played 17 games, including two in the knockout phase play-off, compared with Barcelona’s 16. Their top scorers were Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (10 goals), Ousmane Dembélé (8) and Vitinha (6). Barcelona reached the semi-finals in 1999/2000 before being knocked out by Valencia: a total of 13 players found the net, with Rivaldo top-scoring with 10 goals.
