The most wins of the Fistball Women’s World Championship is 7, achieved by Germany in 1994, 1998, 2006, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2021.

Germany secured their fourth consecutive and seventh overall title with a straight-sets 3–0 (11–4, 11–3, 11–7) defeat of hosts Austria on 31 July 2021 in Grieskirchen, Austria. To date, the only other countries to have won the Fistball Women’s World Championship are Switzerland in 2002 and Brazil in 2010. Fistball is a game of European origin that dates back to Roman times and is similar to volleyball, but the ball can only be struck with the fist or arms (rather than an open hand) and is allowed to bounce after each contact.
