The most punches landed in a world championship boxing match is 620 by Troy Dorsey (USA) in a 12-round IBF featherweight title match against Jorge Paez in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on 4 February 1990. Despite landing the most punches recorded in Compubox history, Dorsey actually lost the fight to Paez in a split decision. This came despite Paez only landing 340 punches (697 thrown) against Dorsey's 620 connections out of 1,365 thrown. Dorsey is the only man in Compubox history to have surpassed the 600-punch plateau.
