Greatest cloud cover due to human activity

Contrails are condensation trails in the atmosphere left by passing aircraft. Depending upon local atmospheric conditions they can last between seconds and hours. In the busiest air corridors the combined effect of aircraft contrails can increase the cloud cover by up to 20%.
