Jimmie Johnson (USA) won five consecutive National Association for Stock Car Racing (NASCAR) Sprint Cup Series championships, from 2006 to 2010.
Johnson's streak of consecutive series titles was snapped at five when Tony Stewart (USA) took the title in 2011, with Johnson finishing the season in sixth place overall. However, after a third place finish in the 2012 series, Johnson would regain the title in the 2013 series. This win brings his total to six series titles overall between 2006-2013, just one short of the overall record of seven series titles held by Richard Perry and Dale Earnhardt (both USA).
