The world's oldest cypress tree (Cupressus sempervirens) is a specimen known variously as Sarv-e-Abarkooh (also transliterated as Sarv-e-Abarkuh) and Zoroastrian Sarv, found in Abarqu, Yazd, Iran. Estimated to be over 4000 years old, it is a highly popular tourist attraction, has been declared a national monument in Iran, and may be the oldest living organism in the entire Asian continent.
