Longest reptilian incubation period

The longest incubation period recorded for the eggs of any reptile is 13-15 months, documented for the tuataras (Sphenodon spp.) of New Zealand. These are the only living representatives of an otherwise prehistoric reptilian order known as Sphenodontia.
