Most sensitive nocturnal colour vision (animal)

The vast majority of animals with colour vision lose much of it at night, seeing mainly in black-and-white only. However, there are a few exceptions, and the species with the most sensitive nocturnal colour vision is the helmeted gecko (Tarentola chazaliae), a species of lizard active at night.
