Last member of the Bo tribe to die

The last member of the Bo tribe, one of the ten Great Andamese tribes located in the Andaman Islands 750 miles off the east coast of India in the Indian Ocean, died in the last week of January 2010. Boa Sr was 85 years old and the oldest member of all the Great Andamese tribes that have inhabited the Andaman Islands for 65,000 years. The remaining members of the other tribes now number only 52. The Bo language died with her.
