The farthest out-and-return distance achieved by a female paraglider is 204.3 kilometres (126.9 miles), achieved by Nicole Fedele (Italy) on 6 May 2011. This record was ratified by the FAI.

Paragliders are categorized in the O-3 subclass of the FIA’s Hang Gliding and Paragliding section. The O-3 subclass is defined as: “Hang gliders having no rigid primary structure (paragliders), and which are able to demonstrate consistent ability to safely take-off and land in nil-wind conditions.”
