The most wins of the World Grand Prix Gliding Championships – also known as the FAI World Sailplane Grand Prix – by an individual pilot is four, by Sebastian Kawa (Poland) in 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2018. He has also won a silver and bronze in the event. Kawa secured his fourth title with victory in Vitacura, Chile, on 14–20 January 2018.
First inaugurated in 2005, there have been 8 editions of the FAI World Sailplane Grand Prix.
