The Major League Baseball (MLB) record for most home runs hit by a batter in a single World Series is five, set by three different players. It was achieved by Reggie Jackson (USA) of the New York Yankees (USA) in the 1977 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (USA) and matched by Chase Utley (USA) of the Philadelphia Phillies (USA) in the 2009 World Series against the New York Yankees (USA). Most recently, the feat was achieved by George Springer (USA) of the Houston Astros (USA) in the 2017 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (USA). Springer’s eight extra-base hits (three doubles and five homers) and 29 total bases were the most ever in a World Series, and he is the first player to homer in four straight games within a single World Series.
