The longest par three golf hole is the "Extreme 19th" which measures 400 m (1312 ft 4 in) in horizontal distance with the golf tee and hole separated by a 430 m (1410 ft 9 in) drop at the Legend Golf and Safari Resort, set in the Entabeni Safari Conservancy in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The tee is located on Hanglip Mountain and is accessible only by helicopter; the green below - at the foot of an almost sheer drop - is contoured to resemble continental Africa.
Anyone who can score a hole in one receives a $1 million reward. Each of the holes at Legend has been designed by a famous golfer. The first golfer to score a par three was Padraig Harrington (Ireland); as yet, no-one has claimed the million-dollar prize but West Indies cricket legend Franklyn Stephenson (Barbados) is the only person to have scored a birdie.
