An 800-g (1-lb 12-oz) bag of "pick 'n' mix" assorted sweets including fizzy cola bottles, pineapple cubes, white mice and jelly worms - sold for £14,500 ($23,653) at a charity auction in aid of the Retail Trust (UK) on 21 February 2009. The bag of sweets was the very last pick 'n' mix to be sold by the now-defunct Woolworths chain, with proceeds going towards a helpline for retail workers and their families affected by redundancy.

the bag came from the Petts Wood Woolworths store in Bromley, Kent, UK, and was donated to the charity by store manager Ed Adams. The chain's administrators, DeLoitte LLP, certified that the bag was, indeed, the last in existence.
