Inga Falls, on the Congo River in the Democratic Republic of Congo, drops in height by 96 m (315 ft) over a length of around 15 km (9 miles). The average flow rate has been measured at around 42,400 m³/sec (1,500,000 ft³/sec), enough to fill London's Albert Hall in around two seconds. Inga Falls has a maximum flow rate measured at around 70,800 m³/sec (2,500,000 ft³/sec).

There are plans to create the world's most powerful hydroelectric dam at Inga Falls, which could theoretically increase Africa's supply of electricity by one third.
