American physicist William Higinbotham’s Tennis for Two, which simulates a game of tennis or ping pong on an oscilloscope, was unveiled at the Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York City, USA, on 18 October 1958. The game pre-dates the Magnavox Odyssey console’s Tennis by 14 years.
