The highest temperature experienced in a videogame is 1,200ºC (2,192ºF), held by Dance Dance Immolation, which debuted at The Crucible's Fire Arts Festival in Oakland, California, USA, in June 2005. Using a hybrid of the PC game engine StepMania and developed to emulate Dance Dance Revolution, the Immolation version is the brainchild of performance art group Interpretive Arson.
