The book most frequently reported to the American Library Association's (ALA) Office for Intellectual Freedom in 2008 - and indeed, each year since 2006 - is And Tango Makes Three by Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell (both USA). The award-winning book - which recounts the true tale of two male penguins who raise a baby penguin - topped the list of works attracting the most complaints from parents and school officials for its promotion of a "homosexual lifestyle" and its "anti-family and anti-ethnic" values.
