Sarah, an 11-year-old cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) achieved a 100-m run from a standing start in 5.95 seconds. The record was set on a USA Track & Field-certified course established by the Cincinnati Zoo at its Regional Cheetah Breeding Facility (Mast Farm) in Clermont County, Ohio, USA, on 20 June 2012. Sarah was clocked at 61 mph (101 km/h) and broke her previous record of 6.13 seconds which she set in 2009.
