Last soldier to see action in both World Wars

Francesco Domenico Chiarello (Italy, 1898-2008) was called up in 1918 during World War I and served as an infantryman, seeing action in Trentino, Italy. In 1940, he was called up again at the age of 42 to fight in World War II at Reggio Calabria, Italy, but was discharged after a few months.
