Live pigeon shooting was held for the first (and last) time in the extravagent 1900 Paris Olympics. Leon de Lunden (Belgium) snatched the gold, killing 21 birds in the process. France's Maurice Faure managed to down 20 birds in the process, while Donald Mackintosh and Crittenden Robinson (both USA) tied for third place, with 18 pigeons each.
