The lowest score under par in a golf PGA Tour event after 72 holes is -34, and was achieved by Cameron Smith (Australia) at the 2022 Tournament of Champions at the Kapalua Plantation Course in Maui, Hawaii, USA, on 6–9 January 2022.
Smith sank eight birdies on his final round to seal a record-breaking PGA Tour victory, finishing three shots to par below Ernie Els’s previous record of -31, recorded at the same event (then known as the Mercedes Championships) in 2003. Smith shot rounds of 65–64–64–65 to finish one shot ahead of Jon Rahm, who along with Matt Jones also finished inside Els’s previous mark.
