Dinotopia (2002) - the tale of a hidden continent where humans and dinosaurs live together - needed 1,800 visual effects shots: the most digital effects in a TV miniseries.

The show cost $80 million (£50 million) to produce, and featured the largest sets ever constructed in Europe at the time.
