Most popular film genre

Comedies accounted for 30.26% of the movies released in 2008, the highest market share of any genre. Analysing the box-office results from this year's releases, it is possible to formulate the elements for the ideal Hollywood movie: a contemporary, live-action, adult (but PG-13- rated) comedy based on an original screenplay.
