The fiercely anticipated headline match between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight Championship saw Nurmagomedov emerge triumphant with a fourth-round submission, although the event would descend in chaos and controversy following widespread brawls involving both fighters after the end of the bout.
