The most wins of the CAF Champions League is 12, achieved by Al Ahly (Egypt) in 1982, 1987, 2001, 2005–06, 2008, 2012–13 and 2020–21 and 2023–24.
Inaugurated in 1964 as the African Cup of Champions Clubs, the Confederation of African Football Champions League is an annual continental tournament contested by the top club sides in Africa. Al Ahly secured their 12th title in 2024. They overcame Tunisia’s Esperance 1–0 in the two-legged final, drawing 0–0 on 18 May and winning 1–0 on 25 May.
