Marc-Olivier Desmarais, a USPA D-license holder and current Guinness World Record titleholder for the most backward somersaults during a skydive, has set a new record: the most somersaults in a skydive. Desmarais successfully completed 41 during freefall, achieving the new record at Parachute Montreal in Saint-Esprit, Quebec, after exiting the aircraft at approximately 13,000 feet AGL and deploying his parachute above 3,000 feet. Two independent camera flyers documented the jump with GoPro footage, serving as expert witnesses to verify and corroborate the somersault count. With this achievement, Desmarais now holds a second skydiving world record, further cementing his standing as a leading figure in the sport.
