- Who
- Special Force
- When
- 2003
First published in 2003 by a group that has been declared a terrorist organization by some Western governments, Special Force is a controversial shooter that tasks players with eliminating soldiers of the Israeli Defence Force. Despite being described by Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Ron Prosor as “part of an educational process which is preventing any chance of real peace,” Special Force proved popular in Lebanon and Syria, selling out of all 8,000 copies of its intial run in a week. The game’s success also led to the creation of Special Force II, a sequel set during the 2006 Lebanon war.
