The most consecutive wins of the rugby union Tri-Nations (renamed the Rugby Championship in the 2012 season) is four and was achieved by New Zealand from 2005 to 2008. The Tri-Nations was an international rugby union competition inaugurated in 1996 and played annually between the southern hemisphere sides Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. It was renamed the Rugby Championship in 2012 when Argentina joined. New Zealand also hold the record for the most wins with 11 victories (10 Tri-Nations win plus the inaugural 2012 Rugby Championship win).
