The most tries scored by an individual player in a Tri-Nations match is four by Jongi Nokwe (South Africa) against Australia at Ellis Park, Johannesburg, South Africa, on 30 August 2008. This was only Nokwe's third international match and he scored all four tries before the 55th minute when Nokwe had to leave the field with an injured ankle.
