First Spider-Man arcade game

Spider-Man’s arcade debut came in 1991 in Spider-Man: The Video Game, a scrolling fighting game with occasional platform elements. Up to four players could join in, playing Spidey, Black Cat, Hawkeye and Namor. The storyline involved Doctor Doom creating an army of alien symbiotes – a plot that was recently re-used in the Mighty Avengers comic book. Guinness World Records Gamers’ Edition 2009.
