The acclaimed space trading sim Elite: Dangerous (Frontier Developments, 2014) features 400,000,000,000 (400 billion) star systems, all of which can be explored by players. The game uses its own bespoke system, named Stellar Forge, to procedurally simulate a playable solar system that accurately replicates our own solar system. For example, the 400 billion star systems is also the number that scientists believe to exist in our own Milky Way.
Elite: Dangerous also holds the record for Largest playable videogame galaxy (real), thanks to the same Stellar Forge tech.
