Oldest Open golf champion

The oldest winner of the Open championship is Tom Morris Snr (United Kingdom) (b. 16 June 1821) who was 46 yr 99 days when he won the 1867 Open championship, at Prestwick Golf Club, Prestwick, United Kingdom, on 26 September 1867. Tom Morris Snr is also referred to as 'Old' Tom Morris which distinguishes him from his son 'Young' Tom Morris who was also an Open champion. He was one of the pioneers of professional golf and won four Open titles all at the Prestwick Golf Club.
