The first commercially-released video game to make use of cel-shading (a way of presenting 3D computer graphics that makes them appear hand-drawn) was Jet Set Radio (SEGA, Dreamcast). It was released on 29 June 2000. Jet Set Radio was renamed as Jet Grind Radio for its US release. The Dreamcast original was followed by a Gameboy Advance spin-off and a full sequel, Jet Set Radio Future, one of the launch titles for the original Xbox when it was released in Japan on 22 Feb 2002.
