When Apollo 11 touched down, at 20:17 and 42 sec GMT on 20 July 1969, less than 30 seconds of fuel remained in the descent engine¹s tank, the least amount of fuel left for a lunar landing. The crew were Neil Armstrong, Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin and Michael Collins (all USA).
