The best selling guitar-based game series in the world is Guitar Hero , which was launched in 2005. By June 2009, combined sales of the Guitar Hero games have totalled in excess of 32 million copies. At E3 2009, Charles Huang, co-founder of RedOctane, the company behind Guitar Hero said: "When we created the first Guitar Hero, we were advised that we should expect to sell around 150,000 copies, in fact people said to shift that many would be 'agressive'"
