The largest amount of NPCs (non player characters) found in any role playing game is 750,000 in The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall. Every single one of these characters can be talked to or interacted with. Every RPG features NPCs – they are essentially every character a player meets that cannot be controlled, ranging from shopkeepers or members of a crowd to the central villain.
