Park previously held this record with a time of 6.82 seconds, achieved at the Bay Area Speedcubin' 20 2019 event on 12 October 2019.
At the same event, Max also won the average 3x3x3 event with 5.87 seconds. However, the world record is currently held by nine-year-old Yiheng Wang (China), who solved the cube in an average time of 4.69 seconds during the semi-final at the Yong Jun KL Speedcubing 2023 event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
