The tallest man-made object ever moved is the Troll A gas installation, which measures 472 m (1,548 ft) high, and weighs 683,600 tonnes. It was towed 200 km (320 miles) from Vats in Rogaland to the Troll field, 80 km (50 miles) northwest of Bergen, Norway in 1995 and began production for Statoil (Norway) in 1996.
