The longest aubergine/eggplant (Solanum melongena) measured 49 cm (1 ft 7.3 in) and was grown by Peter Glazebrook (UK) as verified at the CANNA UK National Giant Vegetables Championship during the Malvern Autumn Show in Worcestershire, UK, on 26 September 2025.
This surpassed the mark of 44.3 cm (1.54 ft) for an aubergine co-grown by Dasha Edwards, Chris Fowler, Kevin Fortey and Gareth Fortey (all UK) as measured in Cwmbran, Gwent, UK, on 21 November 2024.
At the same event, veteran competitive produce grower Glazebrook also set a new title for the tallest runner bean plant, measuring in at 8.006 m (26 ft 3.2 in).
