The longest distance dribbling a football by a relay team was 3,067.8 km (1,906.2 miles) as part of the Fit am Ball 3000 relay, from 29 February 2008 to 7 June 2008.
The participants were school children from across Germany. The ball was dribbled from Leipzig in eastern Germany to Basle in Switzerland in time for the opening of the Euro 2008 football championships. The journey was split up into 200 individual legs in which local schools competed.
