Longest webcam broadcast of a foodstuff

A 20-kg (44-lb) piece of cheddar cheese maturing in Somerset, UK, has been broadcast live on a webcam continuously since 1 January 2007. As of March 2007, more than 525,000 people have logged on to cheddarvision.tv to watch the cheese gradually mature and change colour. It is expected to take 12 months to mature fully, after which it will be auctioned off for charity.
